  A) have to be extremely computer literate so they could hack everyone here to add to the borgfiles.

  My thoughts on the flood

  i know that the flood has been discussed ad-nauseum on this site, but i only just got a copy of the march 1, 2002 wt and figured i'd put my .

  2cents worth in.

  besides that with this posting i become a senior member so i thought i'd say something semi-intelligent for a change.. the wt with it's ever circular reasoning concludes that because so many societies have a flood myth, and because they all have many points in common, that this corroborates the bibles ancient testimony.. on page 4 of this wt, there is a chart denoting the similarities of many of these myths.

  in the original superman, where superman sticks the flag back on top the white house, and says "i stand for truth, justice, and the american way"; this never failed (the couple of times i saw it in the cinema as a kid) to reduce the audiences to tears of laughter (in enlgand).. in the blair witch project, where she's doing the "i'm sorry" bit in the super-big-close-up nostril shot; hilarious.. the bit in jurassic park where the lawyer gets eaten; the audience i was with cheered.... .

  after reading this, it occured to me it would be interesting to go to the official watchtower internet site and use there search function on different words and see what they had to say.

  thanks to amazon.com (where would we be without those guys?

  ) i've just received my copy of the new book "awakening of a jehovah's witness" by dianne wilson (published by prometheus books, 2002).. the dust jacket carries these words: "her engrossing first-hand account will be of great interest to former witnesses, students of cult phenomena, anyone who has ever experienced an abusive relationship, those who want to learn more about what compels people to enter this group, and all who have everhad contact with jehovah's witnesses.".

  it looks like a good read, all 327 pages of it, just going by the table of contents.

  Larc.
  Night of the Hunter was a shocking film. very disappointing, I thought.Robert Mitchum was terrible. Anyway.
  How about "Flight of the Eagle". Jan Treole film from Sweden or thereabouts. Made in the 80s, true story about an attempt to reach the North pole by balloon in 1900(about). Balloon crashed, all the guys (eventually) got eaten by polarbears.
  Great film. Noone saw it.

  When I went to see TaxiDriver at the Cinema years ago a load of the young dubs I was with laughed their asses off all thru the final shootout at the end of the film.
